Early Primroses, Carolyn Cooke To La Côte Church family and friends,
Dear *|FIRSTNAME|*
The old meaning of Lent is Spring. This week marked the equinox that tipped us over into Spring, on 20-21 March. Amid the uncertain and volatile financial and political climate, in spite of ecological fragility – Spring is unfolding all around us with a quiet and steady tenacity.
I encourage you to notice and savour the signs of new life.
Here is a poem that holds together this season of newness with God’s renewing Spirit at work within us, to give us new birth and new hope.
A poem about Spring by Ted Loder It is spring, Lord, And the land is coming up green again, Unfolding Outside my well-drawn boundaries And urgent schedules. And there is the mystery And the smile of it. The willows are dripping honey colour into the rivers, And the mother birds are busy in manger nests, And I am learning again that “for everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven". O Lord, you have sketched the lines of spring. Be with me in my unfolding.’ Amen.
Carolyn Cooke

The Lost Food Project (combatting food waste)
Members of la Côte Church are taking part in a new food bank in Nyon. Click HERE for more information.
A warm thank you to everyone who has been bringing in food and who has signed up to help in practical ways.
Please keep bringing in dried starch produce for us to deliver.
Two practical ways you can get involved:
- We are especially looking for volunteers with cars to pick up and deliver the food to and from supermarkets and the warehouse every morning in Nyon at around 8.00am and early evenings at 18.00. If you could commit to one pick up a week/ a fortnight or a month - that would help enormously. Please contact Suzanne Mooney suzanne.mooney@me.com
- Volunteers to help with the distribution of food at La Fraternelle from 18.00-20.00. If you think you can help, please contact Andrea Goovaerts as soon as possible.
