Yesterday the global church celebrated the Ascension of Christ, and in this part of the world many of us enjoyed the day off! Just to remind you that during these nine days in between Ascension and Pentecost, there is a global movement of prayer entitled “Thy Kingdom Come” taking place.

Whatever else you pray each day, I encourage us all to take time praying The Lord’s Prayer, maybe slowing it down and focussing on a different line one day at a time.

Archbishop Justin Welby writes, “In praying 'Thy Kingdom Come' we all commit to playing our part in the renewal of the nations and the transformation of communities."

Click here to listen to the new “Thy Kingdom Come” song for this year.

Here is the Collect for Thy Kingdom Come:

Almighty God,
your ascended Son has sent us into the world
to preach the good news of your kingdom:
inspire us with your Spirit
and fill our hearts with the fire of your love,
that all who hear your Word
may be drawn to you,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Creation Care Blog

Jean Meyer, as part of her role on council to encourage, promote and coordinate our commitment to Creation Care and share ideas about what we can do as individuals, has started to write a blog. She hopes that in due course many of us will feel inspired to share our own ideas. Click here to read the first blog post.

Safeguarding is increasingly important in a virtual world

The safeguarding team:

-Is there when someone suspects or has observed abuse or is a victim.

-Is there if someone feels uncomfortable about a relationship or situation themselves

-Does not judge, can flag up help and is discreet.

Covid lock downs and confinements 2020 have resulted in an increase of abuse in the home, if you have concerns don't hesitate to get in touch: and check our page on the website
