This week our prayer focus is for Betty Talbot, who will be ordained a deacon next Sunday 30 June at Holy Trinity Church, Brussels, the Pro-Cathedral for the Anglican Diocese in Europe. I hope you enjoy her video, HERE, describing briefly her journey to ordination.

We thank you for Betty’s faithful, wise and loving ministry among us here at La Côte Church. Encircle her with your grace and peace as she embarks on the pre-ordination retreat this week. By your Holy Spirit, our ever present Helper, meet Betty, and her fellow ordinands, at their point of need and reassure them of your all-sufficient grace to sustain them in their calling. Anoint the service on Sunday with your life-giving Spirit, so that all who gather will encounter your truth and grace afresh. Uphold and watch over Chris, Betty’s husband, and her family and friends as they gather to support her in this exciting step of ministry. In the name of Christ, Amen
Thank you for our Gift Day Service
On behalf of our whole church may I extend a very warm thank you to all of you who contributed to the service on Sunday, either with your presence and participation and / or with your prayers and in the lead up to our Gift Day worship. It was a joyful service, with contributions from many of our community, both in the worship and in the delicious finger food feast that followed. If you were not able to be with us – here is a message from Diantha and John, explaining the purpose of our Gift Day, which keeps the spiritual and practical aspect of our faith together.
