To La Côte Church family and friends,
Dear *|FIRSTNAME|*
This week we have celebrated International Women’s Day, (8 March).
Loving God, we give you thanks for the women in our lives, past and present, who have loved, cared, cajoled, disciplined, and inspired us…. We pause to bring them to mind.
May your Spirit inspire our prayer, striving, words and actions for the God-given dignity of every human being.
May unjust legislation and policies be confounded.
We pray for workplace equity in terms of pay and working conditions. May discrimination and sexual harassment be brought to light and justly dealt with by those who have the power to do so.
Loving God, draw near to those who are broken-hearted and crushed in spirit.
Inspire our leaders to govern with compassion, justice, humility, and great courage. In the name of Christ, our servant King, Amen.
Carolyn Cooke

At WOW - we welcome new and old faces, to share our lives and faith.
Our group meets fortnightly, on a Wednesday morning. All are welcome to join us as we share our news, prayer and discussion based around a Christian / Biblical resource - always with coffee, tea and delights to eat!
This term we are continuing with John Pritchard’s inspiring book ‘Living Faithfully‘.
It is a very practical, down to earth book which tackles every day matters of faith and life, and we are enjoying working through the book from the back to the front.
If you would like to join us, please contact Alice Debell and/or Diantha Terry.
Coming up at La Côte
The Lost Food Project (combatting food waste)
Members of la Côte Church are taking part in a new food bank in Nyon. Click HERE for more information.
A warm thank you to everyone who has been bringing in food and who has signed up to help in practical ways.
Please keep bringing in dried starch produce for us to deliver.
Two practical ways you can get involved:
- We are especially looking for volunteers with cars to pick up and deliver the food to and from supermarkets and the warehouse every morning in Nyon at around 8.00am and early evenings at 18.00. If you could commit to one pick up a week/ a fortnight or a month - that would help enormously. Please contact Suzanne Mooney: suzanne.mooney@me.com
- Volunteers to help with the distribution of food at La Fraternelle from 18.00-20.00. If you think you can help, please contact Carolyn Cooke as soon as possible.
