To La Côte Church family and friends and visitors,
Dear *|FIRSTNAME|*
There are so many worries in our lives. We worry about our health, about the cost of living, about the wellbeing of our loved ones, about the state of the climate, about all the children of God who are suffering because of war, violence and injustice in the world.
That‘s why it‘s so comforting to read the words of Jesus in the gospel of this Sunday, where he says to his friends: „Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.“
Let us take to heart these words of our risen Christ, who by the lakeside renewed his call to his disciples, and draws the nations to the fire of his love. Peace be with you.
Kristin
STOP PRESS! Change of plan for Ascension Day
26 May 2022
The planned joint service with our Swiss host parish has had to be postponed - and so we are now inviting you to a Prayer Walk + Pot-luck Lunch at the Traceys’ home in Coinsins. We’ll meet there at 10.00 for an easy walk, lasting under an hour, through fields, woods, by a river, stopping at intervals for a bible reading or a prayer. Pot-luck lunch at 12.00. We are very happy that Rev. Kristin & family are able to be with us. Should the weather be wet, we will stay indoors for prayers and readings … If warm & sunny, you can still get wet in the pool, so bring swim stuff! All ages welcome.
Please let Peta Tracey know (by Tue. 24th) if you are able to join us and we'll send you address and directions.
