Dear friends,

Looking towards our Gift Day on 11 June, today we hear from Jon Beaulieu for the Social Action Group, and David Cooke for the Blokes' Dinner.

The work of the Social Action Group supports our three priorities of worship, community, and outreach.

We do this by aiding local community initiatives that are in line with the spirit of our beliefs. We reach out by providing services that are lacking, that support refugees and members of the local community who are in need.

These are done through organizations in the La Côte region and in our neighboring French communities where some members of our congregation also volunteer.

The La Côte Blokes' Dinner is a regular fixture in the life of our church. The group draws together men from both within and outside our regular church community.

We offer a window onto our church and our faith in a very accessible way. Discussion topics are wide-ranging but often relate to our faith at some point. And the discussion can achieve a level of intimacy that participants have come to value.

Numbers range from 10 to 20 as we meet each month for home-cooked food, lively discussion and good company.
